Students taper dyed black and natural reed staves and insert them into a dyed black base, then weave over a puzzle mold using dyed black and natural hamburg cane to create the lazy twill pattern. A turned dyed black rim is glued on when finished and top it off with a dyed black lid. Approx. 4 ½” tall All weave x 3” wide at top opening x 4” wide at the largest part of the basket. Students insert spokes into slotted wood base with attached handle, learn paired triple twining and shaping the sides so the solid wood lid fits perfectly on the finished basket.
